Festivals 2024

Bromyard is justly proud of its reputation as a Town of Festivals, thanks to the enthusiasm of its fun-loving volunteer organisers!

Here is a summary of the festivals scheduled for 2023; further details are available on their websites or below.

Town Criers Festival:
4th May

Bromyard Town Criers Festival takes place on the 4th May. As well as a town crier parade and various street events there is a 3 round competition between the criers.

Party In The Park:
5th May

A FREE music event, showcasing local talent to raise funds for the maintenance of the Bromyard Recreational Ground – Kempson Players. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2195385837274576

 

Round The Downs Race:
9th June

The race was first recorded in 1923. It was revived in 2010 and since then has become a popular annual event with runners far and near. Takes place 9th June. https://www.facebook.com/BromyardRoundtheDownsRace

BSF Breakfast Club On Tour
9th June

We have launched ‘A BSF Breakfast Club On Tour’ on Sunday the 9th June where we will visit Middlewick House. This is an historic building with wonderful gardens situated in Corsham Wiltshire

Registration is only £5 (plus Booking Fee) per vehicle and we do hope that you can join us.

Scarecrow Festival:
14th to 16th June

Over three days, normally at the beginning of June. An amazing display of scarecrows, which are sited around the town during the Festival.

Armed Forces Day:
29th June

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service

Bromyard Pride Festival:
5th to 7th July

Bromyard Pride Festival is a new festival for 2024

Bromyard Folk Festival:
5th to 8th September

Bromyard Folk Festival started in 1968 and sold 150 tickets, now it is attended by thousands every year. There is a warm family feeling to Bromyard Folk Festival, with entertainment for all ages, plus food, drink and activities throughout the whole weekend 5th to 8th September. https://www.bromyardfolkfestival.co.uk/

Nozstock, The Hidden Valley:
18th to 21st July

2024 will be the last Nozstock as we know it.
That doesn’t mean that the gates to Rowden Paddocks will be swinging shut permanently after next summer: on the contrary, we’ll be using this as an opportunity to try out a whole host of different parties, events and formats from 2025 onwards.

Christmas Lights Switch On:
16th November

The town's Christmas Lights are second to none, probably the best in the county. It’s not just lights, there’s a whole day of festivities!  https://bromyardchristmaslights.co.uk/switch-on

Bromyard Art Walk:
Date: 24th Aug. to 2nd Sept.

Ten days of art by local artists displayed in shop windows and the town's three art galleries, last week in August. https://www.bromyardcommunityarts.co.uk

Christmas Tree Festival:
29th November to 1st December

A fantastic display of Christmas Trees creatively decorated by local businesses and community groups in the beautiful surroundings of St Peter's Church.
